2024 in Photos
What a year it’s been! Full of growth, early mornings, and so many joyful moments. As we do every year, we’re excited to share a few highlights from our year.

Siena graduated to a bigger stroller seat, now able to sit up and enjoy the wintery Netherlands views.
Though, she still spent plenty of time on the floor.
FEBRUARY

In February, we hosted Matteo’s parents and celebrated Siena’s 6 months with her first solids—apple puree!
We also visited The Hague for Siena’s Italian passport and official Mexican registration.
Siena had her first swimming lesson with Matteo, and though skeptical, there were no tears.

Siena started daycare! She was very curious, but warmed up to it quickly!
APRIL

Our first family trip to Italy! It was a complete adventure for her and us.
Siena was showered with love from all sides.
Matteo with some of his childhood friends and their kids!

In May, we did a mini photo shoot in the tulip fields—Siena couldn’t sit without support yet, so her solo shots had to be very quick!
We also started visiting playgrounds, parks and discover new places for Siena to explore!
We also set up a swing in the middle of the living room for her to enjoy her own playground :)

In the summer time, Siena had her first bike ride, went to the (Dutch) beach and swam in a lake.
We also recorded one of Siena’s very first attempts to crawl!
JULY

We had the visit of Marco, Matteo’s brother, so we decided to go out on a fun adventure to Tilburg, south of the Netherlands. During our sightseeing tour, we discovered that Tilburg has the biggest fair in Europe!
Within a short couple of weeks, Siena’s movibility improved quite fast. She was constantly on the move, crawling everywhere in the house!
AUGUST

August was a big month for us.
A new family trip took us to Copenhagen. We loved visiting Tivoli, one of the world’s oldest amusement parks, where Siena had her first-ever ride and was mesmerized by the colourful fish at the aquarium.
The month ended with Siena’s birthday! The night before, we transformed the living room with decorations to make her day extra magical. Her reaction in the morning was priceless—pure joy!
We celebrated with amazing guests, including both sets of grandparents and even uncle Kicko, who visited Europe for the first time ever. Siena adored her Nijntje piñata and happily dove into her sugar-free banana smash cake. It was a day full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
After the birthday excitement, Thalia took a short trip to Paris with her family. It was her first time being away from Siena, and while it was a lovely getaway, she couldn’t wait to reunite with her little one.

After the busy month of August, we spent the following month at home with Thalia’s parents, who spent another 3 weeks with us. Siena had an amazing time with them, playing and dancing.

October brought new milestones for Siena! She started standing and even taking her first wobbly steps. With her newfound mobility, we tried out lots of fun activities together, making the most of these precious moments.
NOVEMBER

Our November highlight was a long-awaited trip to Mexico! It had been so long since Thalia’s family had seen us—and they were thrilled to finally meet Siena. She loved every moment, from playing and running around to swimming and feasting on her favourite snack: avocados. Being surrounded by family made the trip truly unforgettable.
Our weekend at Jicacal Beach was magical! Despite the pesky mosquitoes, we loved morning walks, chasing stray dogs, and playing in the sand—simple joys by the sea.

For the holidays, we’ve made our way to Italy to enjoy the breathtaking wintery mountains. Siena is having the time of her life—savouring pasta, playing with her nonni, and giggling as she slides down snowy slopes. It’s been a magical holiday season full of love and laughter!
